LIBERTINE LINDENBERG, Frankfurt am Main – A Smart Stay in the City
About the Hotel
Rooms with Character
The 27 suites, each named after apple varieties like Gewürzkalvill and Parkers Pepping, include six maisonettes. All feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a radio with house channel connection to the sound studio, free WiFi, and a seating area with desk. The apartment offers a living area, kitchen, freestanding bathtub, bedroom with skyline view, and bathroom with shower. Handmade Frankfurt-made design objects and Moroccan carpets add unique touches.
Creative Dining Spaces
Breakfast includes muesli with fruits, omelettes, and coffee from local roastery Hoppenworth & Ploch, served in the ground floor Wohnzimmercafé. The top floor open kitchen has an honesty-bar system with biodynamic and vegan products, drinks, and snacks. The LEKKER shop on the same floor offers plant-based snacks and drinks. Guests can purchase home-grown ingredients for self-cooking.
Music and Fitness
The basement recording studio LOTTE LINDENBERG with its own record label hosts regular concerts and studio sessions. A small gym is available in the basement. Common spaces include the top floor cooking area with skyline views, dining room, and ground floor living room café where guests read magazines with vegan cake or enjoy coffee.
Alt-Sachsenhausen Location
Located at Frankensteiner Strasse 20 in Alt-Sachsenhausen, the highest terrain in Frankfurt, the hotel faces the city's high-rise skyline. It's surrounded by winding cobbled lanes, apple-wine taverns, shops, and bars, including the historic 14th-century Kuhhirtenturm. The area is 1 km from Kleinmarkthalle, Zeil shopping street, Frankfurt Cathedral, German Film Museum, and MMK Museum of Modern Art.
Unique Hotel Concept
LIBERTINE LINDENBERG operates as a 'shared house without disadvantages' combining private suites with communal facilities. The property features watercolor paintings by Frans Velthuizen, Kvadrat textiles, and furnishings by Stefan Diez of E15. The interior mixes traditional Frankfurt elements like Ebbelwei glass motifs with contemporary design, reflecting the local apple wine culture.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
I had a comfortable stay with clean accommodations and friendly staff who made me feel welcome. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with plenty of restaurants nearby, although the nightlife could get a bit noisy at times. While the breakfast was decent, the options were a bit limited, and I felt the price for some amenities didn't quite match the overall experience.
I had a really nice stay at this hotel. The rooms were trendy and offered a fantastic view of both old and new Frankfurt, although it was a bit hot, and I had to open the window and use earplugs to block out the noise from the nearby nightlife. The location was great, within walking distance to central attractions and surrounded by lovely restaurants and shops. However, the service was limited after 6 PM, which was a bit disappointing.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The location is fantastic, right at the start of the party area and close to many restaurants and bars. The rooms were comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and took great care of us. However, there was some broken glass around outside that made walking a bit tricky, and the Wi-Fi wasn't free. Overall, a great value for the price!
The hotel is situated in a great area, conveniently close to the city center with a fantastic neighborhood full of local restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and of decent size, though I did appreciate the quieter extension building since there are several pubs nearby. The service is absolutely fantastic with friendly staff who were very welcoming. Unfortunately, the dining hours were a bit limited, which didn't quite work with my schedule. Overall, I found it to be a good value for the money, but it could be noisy on busier nights.
I had a great time at this hotel! The location is fantastic, with plenty of lively pubs and charming restaurants nearby. My room was spacious and had a superb view of both old and new Frankfurt, and the staff were very warm and accommodating. However, the dining experience could use some improvement, as breakfast was a bit lacking in variety. Overall, though, the value for money was decent, especially with the amenities provided.
